Russian Empire until 1917 - Medal „For Faith and Fatherland for the Territorial Army„. Gold medal by C. Leberecht. Gold 14.2 g, with engraver’s signature. With old but not contemporary pentagonal mounted ribbon. DIA 319.1; RRU 90. Very rare. Condition G.V.F.
In excellent condition and of highest rarity. – The two class (in gold and silver) medal was created on March 9, 1807, for members of the militias, who had taken part in at least one campaign. Due to the Napoleonic Wars the militias more and more plaid an important role in the Russian armed forces.
Медаль «За веру и Отечество Земскому войску». Медальер К.Леберехт, золотая медаль, золото, 14,2 г, с подписью резчика штемпеля, на старой, но не оригинальной пятиугольной ленте. Дьяков 319.1; Романов 90. Очень редкая. Сохранность II.
Безупречная сохранность и большая редкость. Медаль 2-х степеней (в золоте и серебре) была учреждена 9 марта 1807 г для ополченцев, принимавших активное участие как минимум в одном сражении, так как земское войско в результате участия русских в наполеоновских войнах (с 1805 г) приобрело всё большее значение как часть русской армии.
