Large silver medal n. d. (after 1783). From the Historical Series Suite no. 12. Rurik accepts title of Grand Duke. Dies by I. B. Gass. Helmeted bust r. wearing cuirass and mantle and holding shield and hammer. Rev. Rurik to l., men kneeling and bowing, on r. throne chair. 193,79 g. Diakov 1679 (R3). Smirn. 74. Rare. Brushed. Extremely fine.
