Victoria, 1837-1901. 5 Pounds 1839. "Una and the Lion". Kopf der jungen Königin nach links mit Haarband. Rv. Die Königin mit Zepter und Reichsapfel nach links schreitend neben dem britischen Löwen. Im Abschnitt die römische Jahreszahl und die Stempelschneidersignatur W.WYON für William Wyon. Randschrift: "DECUS ET TUTAMEN * ANNO REGNI TERTIO *". 39.26 g. Seaby 3851. Schl. 148. Fr. 386. Sehr selten, nur 400 Exemplare geprägt. Wahrscheinlich die schönste englische Münze. Polierte Platte. FDC (NGC PF61 Ultra Cameo).

In the exergue the Roman date and the medallist’s signature W.WYON for William Wyon. Edge inscription: "DECUS ET TUTAMEN * ANNO REGNI TERTIO *". 39.26 g. Seaby 3851. Schl. 148. Fr. 386. Very rare, only 400 specimens struck. Considered to be the most beautiful British coin. Proof. Brilliant uncirculated (NGC PF61 Ultra Cameo).
