10 Dollars 1849, Paris. Probe-Prägung in Kupfer. Liberty-Kopf nach links, darunter die Stempelschneider¬signatur "BOUVET F" für Louis Charles Bouvet (1802-1865) und die Jahreszahl. Rv. Adler mit dem Amerikanischen Wappenschild auf der Brust, oben ein kleiner Lorbeerkranz, darunter die Wertangabe. Glatter Rand. Judd C1849-1; Pollock 5075-1. Sehr selten. Nur wenige Exemplare bekannt. Polierte Platte. FDC (NGC PF63 BN).
Louis Charles Bouvet war Graveur an der Pariser Münzstätte.

10 Dollars 1849, Paris. Pattern in Copper. Liberty head to l., below the die engraver’s signature "BOUVET F" for Louis Charles Bouvet (1802-1865). Date below. Rv. Eagle with American arms on breast. Small laurel wreath above. Value below. Smooth edge. Judd C1849-1. Pollock 5075-1. Very rare. Only a few specimens known. Proof. Uncirculated (NGC PF63 BN).
Louis Charles Bouvet was engraver at the mint of Paris.
