David Edward Price (1826-1883) übernahm 1847 den Holzhandel seines Vaters, welcher im ganzen Landkreis das Handelmonopol besass. Die private Unternehmung betrieb ein Kaufhaus für die Angestellten mit eigenen Banknoten. David E. Price war später ein bedeutender kanadischer Politiker und Konsul für diverse andere Länder/David Edwars Price (1826- 1883) took over in 1847 the timber trade of his father, which throughout the county owned the trade monopoly. The private company led a department store for the employees with their own banknotes. David E. Price was later an major Canadian politician and consul for several other countries.
